“Insurance of goods in the transport process is one of the important and sometimes even fundamental decisions of a customer. Our company always arranges individual insurance for a specific type of goods and transport. The goods intended for sea transport should be suitably packed and labelled, properly stored in a shipping container and secured against movement. This significantly reduces a risk of damage. However, the reality of everyday life clearly proves that goods cannot be 100% protected against insured events. Therefore, the goods transport insurance most frequently used by our company is the ICC insurance (B) which covers virtually all unintentional damage, including throwing the load into the sea and general average. The only events not covered by this type of insurance are losses resulting from the nature of the goods, from the wear and tear or the hidden properties of the goods or the compensation for delay.”
